After a long, action-filled week, Ottawa Senators Development Camp has come to an end. What started with headshots and physical testing on July 1 culminated with the annual 3-on-3 tournament and awards presentation.

The Ottawa Senators are back at it today with an off an on-ice session at the Bell Sensplex today. Yesterday the team hit the ice in the morning before going ziplining as a group in Ottawa. Sens TV was on hand for the trip and will pass along the footage very soon.

After an eventful Friday night at the Kanata Recreation Complex for the annual development camp scrimmage, the prospects get back to it today when they hit the ice at Bell Sensplex to resume on-ice skill work. We'll be on hand for the session so stay tuned to get a look at what they're being put through.

The Ottawa Senators have agreed to terms with veteran centre David Legwand on a two-year contract that will carry a $3 million cap hit. He joins the Sens from the Detroit Red Wings after spending his first 14 seasons with the Nashville Predators.

Legwand recorded 14 goals and 51 points between Nashville and Detroit last season after posting 25 points in 48 games of the lockout shortened 2013 season. His career best season came in 2006-07 when he scored 27 goals and tallied 63 points.

It's day four of development camp and it's a big one! After going through the on and off-ice battery of workouts through the day, the group gets split into two tonight for the annual development camp scrimmage which is being held at the Kanata Recreation Complex this year. The festivities are set to kick off at 6:45 PM for those of you in town and looking to see the team's top prospects face off in person.

Yesterday as part of the position specific portion of workouts, the goaltending prospects were led through a cavalcade of drills by Senators goaltending coach Rick Wamsley. We strapped a GoPro to the mask of Chris Driedger to get a first person view of the workout. If you missed it, check it out here...
