Sens head coach Paul MacLean has been named as a finalist for the 2013 Jack Adams Award as the NHL's top coach, the league announced on Friday.
This will be MacLean's second consecutive year being nominated for the award as he was also a finalist in 2012 — his first season with the Sens.

Cory Conacher played a lead role in Game 1 and got himself acquainted with the Penguins early and often. While he didn't pot any goals, Conacher was one of the most active Sens on the ice and has set himself up to be an impact on the series going forward.
Here's what he had to say after Game 1...

The Sens are having a (mandatory) practice in Pittsburgh currently after yesterday's optional skate. As we can see above, Jakob Silfverberg was putting in some extra strength work earlier today as well.
Looks like there will be some lineup changes heading into Game 2 with the prospective return of Guillaume Latendresse with the corresponding move being Matt Kassian checking out. Again, as we know with Coach MacLean & Co., this is all speculative until the final roster sheet is put out before puck drop, but it's a good bet.
Here's how they look at practice today:

Colin Greening was the Sens lone goal scorer from Game 1 and played some of the best minutes for the squad in all three zones on Tuesday night. He weighed in with his thoughts on the 4-1 loss and talked about ways the Sens fell short and what they can do in Game 2.
Here are some highlights of what he had to say...

It's been a fast and furious post-season thus far and, while you've been enjoying the hockey, Sens TV has had the cameras rolling 24/7 to capture the Senators on their journey.
The latest installment of United In Red is here below and takes a look at games one and two in Montreal. If you missed it (shame on you if you did), you can catch episode one here.

Odds are if you’re reading this you’re not Scotty Bowman. Coincidentally, you don’t have to be Scotty Bowman to figure out that for the Sens to have the best chance possible at winning this series shutting down Sidney Crosby is a must. He is simply the best player going right now and giving him breathing room is a recipe for disaster.
A few observers suggested that Crosby simply didn’t look like himself yesterday and he didn’t do enough to leave an imprint on the game. Things went fine for Pittsburgh regardless, but Crosby’s inability to get something going was not so much his ineffectiveness as it was the Sens ability to keep the puck away from him.
How did they do that? With big efforts from Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Erik Condra and Colin Greening.

The Sens are holding an optional practice this afternoon in Pittsburgh after Tuesday's Game 1 loss to the Pens.
There are nine players and two goaltenders in attendance...
