We took you through the second edition of our prospect chats yesterday with an interview featuring defenceman Fredrik Claesson. Today we move on to our third installment, this one with B-Sens forward Matt Puempel.

Puempel, the Sens' third first round pick in 2011, is in the midst of his first full season of professional hockey this year in Binghamton with the Senators and through the first 47 games of the AHL season, the transition appears to be a successful one. Puempel has recorded 17 goals in 47 games for the B-Sens and has added a more physical element to his game that has seen him amass 80 PIM in that time.

He passed along his thoughts on his season, his development and more. Take a look...

We unveiled the first episode of our prospect feature series yesterday with Corey Cowick and today we take a look at defenceman Fredrik Claesson.

Claesson, a fifth-round selection in the 2011 Entry Draft, is in the midst of his second North American season after joining the Binghamton Senators last year. The extra year of experience is clearly paying dividends as he has been quick to establish career highs across the board. Through 48 games, Claesson has recorded a pair of goals and 22 points — double his point total last season — en route to a plus-28 rating, which is the highest on Binghamton and third in the AHL.

He passed along his thoughts on his season, his development and more. Take a look...

It's no surprise that being a rookie in the NHL comes with a number of lessons that you need to learn on the fly. Thankfully, there are plenty of veterans present and willing to offer a word of advice or two so the young pups can catch up to speed.

Now in his second season of NHL hockey and first full season with the Ottawa Senators, Cory Conacher was helpful enough to pass along a key piece of advice for fellow youngster Matt Puempel if he's to make it as a member of the Sens in this video for Upper Deck.

He passed along his thoughts on his development, Binghamton and more below.
