Sens TV had the opportunity to sit down with a handful of Senators players before they went their separate ways at the conclusion of the 2013-14 season to reflect on the year that was, look ahead to the future and get a sense of what's ahead for the guys.

Next up in this series is Erik Karlsson. Karlsson played a full 82 game season for the Senators less than a year after having his Achilles cut by a skate during the 2013 campaign. He established a new career high in goals with 20, finished in the NHL's top-10 in assists with 54 and led the Sens in scoring with his 74 points. Playing for Team Sweden at the Olympics, Karlsson finished in a tie for the tournament scoring lead with eight points, was named the top defenceman at the tournament and was named to the tournament all-star team. He received Ottawa's nomination for the Masterton Trophy from the local chapter of the PHWA for such a strong return from injury but was ultimately not named one of the three finalists.

Taking a look at the less conventional statistics, Karlsson was one of the Sens' top possession players as well with the Senators taking 54.8 per cent of the shot attempts with Karlsson on the ice. Defensively, he saw his role on the penalty kill expand, playing roughly 25 percent of the team's shorthanded minutes.

To recap his season, here's Erik Karlsson one-on-one with Sens TV.

Sens forward Kyle Turris was an alternate captain for Team Canada at the World Championships in Belarus last month where he recorded six points in eight games but ultimately couldn't make it past Finland in a quarter-final game. Sens TV caught up with Turris for the first time since his return from the tournament to talk about his experience playing for Canada, wearing the A, Belarus and more.

Next up in this series is Clarke MacArthur. He joined the Senators as a free agent last July after playing the previous three seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs and developed instant chemistry with Kyle Turris and fellow Ottawa newcomer Bobby Ryan. In his first season with the Senators, MacArthur recorded a career high in goals with 24 — despite goal scoring dry spells in the months of October and April — and put up his second best single season highs in assists and points with the Sens, finishing with 31 and 55 respectively.

Taking a closer look at the numbers, MacArthur was one of the Sens best possession players as well with 54 per cent of all shot attempts coming from Ottawa while he was on the ice — the second highest mark on the team to Erik Karlsson among players who played at least 30 games for the Senators. Not only that, but 58 per cent of goals scored with MacArthur on the ice were goals for the Sens.

To recap his first season in Ottawa, here's Clarke MacArthur one-on-one with Sens TV.

Next up in this series is Jason Spezza. Spezza was named the team's captain on September 14, 2013 to become the eighth Senator to wear the 'C' with the club. He recorded 66 points 75 games in 2013-14 to finish second on the team in scoring behind Erik Karlsson after missing the majority of a lockout shortened 2013 season due to back surgery and a knee injury.

Here's Jason Spezza one-on-one with Sens TV.
