There was some concern when Chris Phillips left Sunday's game against Boston with what GM Bryan Murray called a "tweaked knee" but everything appears to be fine moving forward as Phillips said he was good to go for game one in Montreal.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a person who would like to win this Senators/Canadiens series more than Guillaume Latendresse.

As part of their first round playoff coverage flood, NHL.com passed along five burning questions ahead of the Sens' series with the Montreal Canadiens. Luckily, as someone who watches A LOT of Senators hockey (Read: All of It) I feel qualified to help them out with the answers ahead of time.

They posed the questions and pondered, and I did my best to answer honestly and objectively.

Let's take a look at what they wanted to know (NHL.com breakdowns are in italics)....

With the advent of any playoff scenario means there is plenty of opportunity for punditry and predictive wizardry.

The sleeper pick is a classic of any prediction. The team you think could go on a run but won't take any flak for if they don't. That beloved little engine that could, which should be warranting more attention but perhaps drew an unfavourable matchup and are now being written off.

Well, your Senators are getting a little sleeper love.

It has been 86 years since the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens played one another in a playoff series.

In 1927 they played one another in an NHL semifinal game for the right to play in the Stanley Cup Finals. The format they played at the time is much more analogous to what you'll see in soccer's Champions League head-to-head matchups. Two games, team with the most goals on the aggregate takes the series.

Going forward he’ll be known as the guy who clinched Ottawa’s seven spot in a 4-2 win over Boston, but those who have been paying attention know full well that Jean-Gabriel Pageau has been a shot of adrenaline to this Senators’ lineup since his recall on April 10.

Despite being on the smaller side of the scale, Pageau has asserted himself instantly as a player capable of hanging with opposing top lines. Case in point: his first two games brought heavy minutes against Philadelphia’s Claude Giroux and New Jersey’s Adam Henrique, two elite Eastern Conference centres. Welcome to the NHL, rook.

Earlier this season, former Ottawa Senators defenceman Wade Redden hit 1,000 career games played as a member of the St. Louis Blues. On Trade Deadline day he was sent to Boston where he now plays alongside former Sens teammates Chris Kelly and Zdeno Chara.

After last night's game, former teammates of Redden who are still in Ottawa (Daniel Alfredsson, Chris Phillips and Chris Neil) surprised him with a painting to commemorate the 1,000 game milestone. Of those games he has played in the NHL, 838 of them came as a member of the Sens.

Take a look...
