Sens add Rutkowski

The Ottawa Senators made another transaction on Thursday, adding Troy Rutkowski to their crop of blueline prospects by signing him to a three-year entry level deal out of the Portland Winterhawks organization.
Troy is the captain of the Winterhawks and has put together a solid WHL resume. He was drafted back in 2010 by the Avs, but did not reach an agreement with them and was passed over in the draft the following year.
From the official release:
Rutkowski has 20 goals, 41 assists, 41 penalty minutes and is a plus-31 in 69 games with the Winterhawks this season. His 61 points are the second-highest total among league defencemen. In five WHL seasons, he has scored 61 goals and added 150 assists for 211 points while recording 247 penalty minutes in 348 games
For those of you looking to get a better idea of Rutkowski as a player, here's an NHL pack that was put together ahead of his 2010 draft.
As a player who has seen a lot of ice time, can move the puck and play with grit, it seems as though he will fit in nicely with the Sens who utilize a system that brings out those qualities.
