Sens lineup vs. Sabres finalized; Lehner to start
There was hope that Craig Anderson would make his triumphant return to the Sens crease tonight but it appears that Paul MacLean would like to get his number one 'tender some more practice time as Robin Lehner will star between the pipes in Buffalo.
Andy will ultimately back up Lehner and is available to play should they require him. Other lineup changes include Mike Lundin and Peter Regin back in the lineup with Jim O'Brien and Andre Benoit checking out. Milan Michalek and Jared Cowen were both on the ice for the Sens as well but are not available to play just yet.
Here's what the lines will be looking like to start tonight's game...
Latendresse - Turris - Alfredsson
Conacher - Zibanejad - Silfverberg
Greening - Smith - Neil
Kassian - Regin - Condra
Phillips - Methot
Lundin - Gonchar
Wiercioch - Gryba
The Sens are 3-0-0 against the Sabres this season with two of those wins coming in front of Craig Anderson in goal and the third with recently moved Ben Bishop in goal. This will be Lehner's first career start against Buffalo.
The Sabres will have a different look to them than they have in recent meetings with the departure of captain Jason Pominville on deadline day. His trade, coupled with a handful of injuries, have given a struggling Buffalo team plenty to contend with as they shuffle their lineup. Thomas Vanek will miss his fifth straight game.
Ryan Miller will start in goal for the Sabres tonight.
Here's what they are expected to look like...
Ott - Hodgson - Gerbe
Foligno - Ennis - Stafford
Adam - Porter - Flynn
Scott - Hecht - Kaleta
Ehrhoff - Myers
Pardy - Pysyk
Weber - Sekera
Paul MacLean has a coaching record of 6-1-2 against the Sabres.
