Anderson to start against Washington
With the hottest team in the NHL rolling into town to take on the Sens tonight, it'll be Craig Anderson taking to the crease come puck drop at 7:30.
This will be Anderson's second start of the season against the Capitals. The last one, a 3-2 win over the Caps on January 29, saw Andy turn aside 31 of 33 shots on goal for a .939 save percentage as the Sens won it late in the third period.
His career numbers against the Caps are fairly good with a 2.67 GAA and .920 save percentage in 12 games. With that Anderson has a 6-5-1 record against Washington. His lone shutout against the Caps came during his first season as a member of the Sens on March 25, 2011. Goals from Colin Greening and Erik Condra gave Ottawa the edge as Andy turned aside 31 shots to clinch the win.
In his four games since returning from injury, Anderson is 2-2-0 with a 1.75 GAA and .935 save percentage.
