Sens vs. Penguins projected lineups

The Senators, with a little help, could clinch a playoff berth tonight as they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins while the Winnipeg Jets are in Buffalo to take on the Sabres. A Sens win coupled with a Jets regulation loss means Ottawa clinches a postseason spot.

The Sens say that they'll be going with the same lineup that put 50 shots on goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night. Paul MacLean said that a similar performance on Monday would get a better result than it did Saturday. There is a touch of confusion over who will occupy the third line wing spot between Matt Kassian and Guillaume Latendresse however. As things stand Kassian is in, but every indication after this morning's skate suggested it would be 73 instead. We will see what is ultimately decided after warmups.

Here's how the Sens will look to start...

Michalek - Turris - Alfredsson

Conacher - Zibanejad - Silfverberg

Kassian - Smith - Neil

Greening - Pageau - Condra

Phillips - Methot

Gryba - Cowen

Wiercioch - Gonchar

Anderson

Lehner

The Penguins are coming into this game shorthanded with many of their big names back home to recover from various maladies. Even goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is absent as he and wife are awaiting the birth of a child. Tomas Vokoun will get the start and Jussi Jokinen will take over the first line centre role for the Pens. Not exactly what comes to mind when you think of the Pittsburgh Penguins, but this is still a quality NHL lineup nonetheless.

Here's how they are expected to look...

Kunitz - Jokinen - Iginla

Morrow - Dupuis - Kennedy

Cooke - Sutter - Adams

Glass - Vitale - McIntyre

Orpik - Niskanen

Murray - Eaton

Bortuzzo - Engelland

Vokoun

Hartzell

The Sens are 3-2-1 against Pittsburgh under Paul MacLean.
