Methot on Iginla, Morrow

With the absences of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, et al., tonight, the Penguins' star power will largely left up to their big deadline acquisitions who have yet to play the Sens as a member of their new team: Brenden Morrow and Jarome Iginla.

Coming from the Western Conference with plenty of accolades and big reputations, the Sens haven't actually had many opportunities to face Morrow or Iginla over the last few years. Luckily for the Sens blueline, Marc Methot had plenty of opportunity to play them during his time in Columbus and should offer some insight as to how you go about handling them.

He offered some thoughts as to what they bring to that Penguins team in spite of the absences they currently have...

They bring a lot of leadership, obviously. With Iginla he's got an excellent shot, he's dangerous pretty much everywhere in the slot. When he gets the chance to wind up and take a huge slap shot he can bury them. With Morrow he's really strong, he plays you really hard. It seems like he weighs about 250 pounds when you run into him on the ice so he's one of those guys — both of them are — you have to play them hard. They're the heart and soul of that team right now, so to speak, in terms of leadership — I'm sure they have a lot more — but we have to play those two guys hard. They're good hockey players.

Even without the names you know so well, the Penguins will be a test for the Sens. Any time a team is pushing for a President's Trophy, you can't take them lightly regardless of who is missing.
