3:45 PM: Guillaume Latendresse makes his return to the Sens lineup tonight after playing the first two games in Montreal. Here’s what he had to say about his return and what he needs to do for the team.

On his goal scoring:

Since I've been in the NHL I've been able to score goals and find a way to do it. I need to make sure I'm around the net and get those rebounds. It's not always the nicest goal but at the end of the game they count the same. You have to make sure that all the guys, not just me, is around the net and taking some shots, looking for rebounds.
On the using time as a scratch for motivation:
For sure, but at the same time you don't want to do too much. Sometimes you come back, you're too excited and you try plays that are not supposed to be. I want to play within the system, do what the team is asking. I want to make sure I bring that energy and motivation. For sure, it's an important game for me, it's exciting, but it's an exciting and important game for everyone.

1:50 PM: Andre Benoit talked about getting back in the lineup tonight in place of Eric Gryba. It'll be his first appearance since Game 2 against Montreal earlier in the playoffs.

On his approach tonight:

I'll try to be stable defensively and if I get a chance to jump up in the play then that's what I'll do. I'll just kind of do what I've always done.
On matching up with the Penguins:
They have a good team, they pass well, we just have to play hard, be physical when we get the chance and play quick. We need to get out of our zone as quick as possible. Any team that gets sustained pressure is going to cause problems so it's good breakouts and a lot of communication.
On physicality:
You have to play on that line and you don't want to cross it. We're used to that and that's what we're hoping to accomplish.
1:20 PM: With confirmation that Guillaume Latendresse and Andre Benoit will draw back into the lineup tonight, here's how the Sens are expected to look to start Game 2.

Conacher - Turris - Alfredsson

Michalek - Zibanejad - Silfverberg

Latendresse - Smith - Neil

Greening - Pageau - Condra

Methot - Karlsson

Cowen - Gonchar

Phillips - Benoit

11:30 AM: The Sens have hit the ice for their morning skate in Pittsburgh.

11:00 AM: Chris Phillips spoke about adjustments the Sens are looking to make on the ice after some time to review Game 1 and the performance of the team's young players.

On the Game 2 prep:

We rested up and have seen a lot of video in areas we can be better, and also things we did well to continue to do... We saw a lot of video of things that they're doing and need to be aware of and exploit to create some chances and play in their zone. Hopefully we'll be able to execute that.
On the performance of the team's young players:
It's a team that has a lot of young guys, every game is a new experience for them but in saying that we depend on them. We have a lot of them. A lot of them are key parts to this team. Hopefully any mesmerizing or watching that might have happened in Game 1 is over with and we can go play...They were thrown right into it but they've all handled it very well and been able to have success under those circumstances.
10:40 AM: The guys are getting loose ahead of practice with some soccer volleyball action.

10:30 AM: It's Game 2 Game Day in Pittsburgh and your Ottawa Senators are awaiting the start of Game 2 with the Penguins tonight when the puck is dropped at 7:30 pm at the CONSOL Energy Center. The Pens took Game 1 by a 4-1 score thanks to strong special teams play (2 PPG, 1 PKG) with the Sens playing their best hockey at even strength.

The Sens will hit the ice at 11:30 am for their morning skate in Pittsburgh. I'll have plenty of updates to follow including, but not limited to, lineup changes, players thoughts on tonight's game, Sens TV updates, Instagram goodness and more.

Stay tuned!
