Neil cleared for Game 4
It was a scary moment late in the Game 3 when Chris Neil went sliding into the corner behind Tomas Vokoun after taking a hit from Penguins defenceman Brooks Orpik on Sunday night. While Neil was down on the ice for a considerable amount of time and did not return, he will be good to go for Game 4 on Wednesday.
In fact, Neil said he would have been able to make it back at the Sens not scored shortly after he made his trip to the locker room.
"If the game went on I probably would have been back, I just didn't get the opportunity to get back out there. We were able to pop one in and get the win so it was big for us, and I think for us we just need to put that one behind us and get ready for the next one."
Neil attributed the hit to playoff intensity and Orpik, who plays a physical game to begin with, just trying to finish his check. The Sens winger also added that he's not worried about trying to get any sort of equalizer on Orpik for the hit, he just wants to win the next hockey game.
"I'm worried about winning a hockey game. These are important games for us, we want to keep moving on and you've got to win to move on. We dug ourselves a bit of a hole going down two and we've still got a long way to come out of it. That starts tomorrow night, we need to come out and get a win."
