11:05 AM: Here's what Paul MacLean had to say to the media prior to this afternoon's game with the Stars...

On tonight's lineup:

Borowiecki is going to play, Matt Kassian is going to play and Eric Gryba will be out. Craig Anderson is the goalie.

On what Borowiecki can bring:

I think what he brings, most importantly to the group, is an attitude of work ethic, physicality and flat out try. He has been a real character player for Luke for the last couple of years, every training camp he comes here he gives everything he has every day and I think that's the type of attitude that our group is missing right now. He is here, he has played well over the years for Luke and we need his physicality and his attitude in our lineup.

On the team "digging in":

I think we started to dig in, I'm not sure we dug in. We have to stop the flow of pucks into our net and we need people to stand up and say that enough is enough. I think as a group there was — I don't think the whole group stood up and said enough is enough — but I think it was the start of a number of players showing by the way they played in the third period, getting the game to — we played almost 20 minutes or 17 minutes with the game tied. When we were in Chicago that game got away from us so we dug in, we got the game to overtime and didn't cave in and lose the game in regulation. So we got it to overtime and got it to a shootout so that's what I mean by digging in. We didn't end up finding a way to lose the game in regulation, we found a way to dig in and at least we got something out of the game. Today we need to dig in here and find a way to win a game.

On Dallas:

Well in the brief time that I've seen them, Tyler Seguin is a good player. He can really skate and go through the middle. Jamie Benn, in the time I've seen him, is maybe not the fastest player in the league but he's really strong on his skates and he's strong on the puck. Ray Whitney is a veteran that if you give him time and space he can find anybody that's open. Daley has been active on their back end, Goligoski can be active, Sergei (Gonchar) can obviously make a good first pass for them. They have veteran depth in Fiddler and Horcoff in their group. For us right now the biggest opposition is ourselves. We have to be more prepared with how we have to play than how they play.

On if the team misses Gonchar:

It would be too easy to say yes. Sergei has the ability to make a good first pass. Do we miss that? Yup, but his time was done here and we have to move on. We're going through some growing pains with our younger players. It's not unexpected. Maybe the length or how the growing pains are, but let's face it, they are growing pains for these young players and we have to stick with them.

10:45 AM: The Sens will be wearing these Canadian camo jerseys during warmups today...

9:30 AM: Nothing says Sunday like some afternoon hockey and that's exactly what we'll be getting today when the Sens drop the puck at Canadian Tire Centre to face the Dallas Stars.

The Stars and Sens have had similar starts to their season with Dallas checking in today at 5-6-2. They have struggled on the road to this point though, putting together a 2-5-0 record outside of the Lone Star state.

Today is Canadian Forces appreciation day so you can expect to see plenty of items in support of the troops on gameday today.

Paul MacLean will speak to the media at 10:30 AM today at Canadian Tire Centre and I'll have plenty of updates to follow including, but not limited to, lineup changes, players' thoughts on tonight's game, Sens TV updates, Instagram goodness and more.

Stay tuned!
