Mika Zibanejad was bumped up to Jason Spezza's wing today and appears poised to start Saturday's game alongside the captain and Milan Michalek on Saturday. He spoke to the media on the bump today after practice before the Sens took off for Detroit.

Here's what he had to say...

On today's combinations:

I liked it, I'll take a shot at it and hopefully I can make the most of it.

On playing with Spezza:

I like to shoot the puck and he handles the puck very well and he can pass the puck. So, hopefully I can find a spot out there and he can find me or Milo. I've just got to use my speed and try to use him as much as possible.

On if there's more pressure:

There's always pressure, I just try to take it one shift at a time and do what I've been doing so far to earn this spot and just keep going with what I've and do it even more.

On if it's hard to play with Spezza:

Not tough, I think it's just a matter of reading off of him. He's a skilled guy and he can find those passes. I've just got to make myself available and it's maybe a different route somewhere sometimes but it's just a matter of good timing and creating a situation.

On playing with him earlier in the season:

I can get good chances and I've got to make the most of the chances I get and just keep shooting the puck. I know he's going to be able to get me the puck and when he does that I've got to make sure I score those goals and make sure I make the most of it.

On changing his game:

I try not to change it actually, I try and keep going the same and skate with the puck and without the puck, be active and not stand still and shoot the puck. Like I said, be physically engaged with the game and just keep going with what I've been doing and what has made me successful so far.

On confidence impacting his game:

Yeah, for sure. Obviously confidence is a big part of anyone's game and if you have confidence you the confidence to do things and you have the confidence to do more. To play up there, I think that's been a bit of a problem when I've played with Spezz before, I wouldn't have the confidence to do anything and I'd just look for him and Milo all the time more than take charge and skate with the puck and try to find them later, I'd just stand still and make a play. I think I can use them as much as they can use me.
