12:45 PM: Sens goaltender Craig Anderson passed along his thoughts ahead of Sunday's Heritage Classic. Here's what he had to say...

On the setup:

I immediately thought Sunday football, you walk out here and see the stadium and how many seats it holds and how grand the whole experience and the facility is. It's definitely an eye-opener.

On if seeing pucks is different:

Not particularly, I think the biggest adjustment right now is having the seats not right up against the glass. There's going to be some transition there but other than that I think everything else on the ice from the boards down is pretty identical to what we're used to.

On getting two points:

We cannot lose focus of what the objective of this game is. The venue has changed, the atmosphere has changed but the objective, the players, the systems, etc. down the line are all the line. For us and the other team it's going to be a hard-nosed game, it's going to be a game that's on the line for the stretch here.

12:00 PM Sens defenceman Erik Karlsson offered his thoughts on the atmosphere at BC Place after yesterday's practice. Here's what he had to say...

On the rink at BC Place:

It was fun, it's something different. It's going to be a good experience that's going to stick with you for life. We've got to make sure we enjoy it but at the same time it's an important for us and we need the points right now and treat it like any other game once the puck is dropped.

On being reminded of the importance of the game:

We understand that it's an important game but at the same time we have to be able to enjoy ourselves. IT's a great experience to be a part of but, as I said, once the puck is dropped it's going to be game on and we'll enjoy it before and after.

On the ice:

It was good, we were only out there for an hour. It'll probably be a bit different during the game but I think it'll fine and it'll be the same for both teams. It's not going to be a concern for us.

On handling the Canucks defensively:

They're a good team, they've got two great top lines. We've got to make sure we play our best and lately we haven't been great defensively but that's something we've been working on.

10:00 AM: After a long wait since it was announced, the Sens will finally drop the puck on the Heritage Classic today in Vancouver..

The Sens had a rough return from the Olympic break on Thursday with a 6-1 loss to the Red Wings. Bobby Ryan had the lone goal in the loss, while Andrew Hammond made his NHL debut in relief of Robin Lehner.

The Canucks are 28-24-10 in 62 games this season for 66 points. In their last game they fell by a 2-1 score to the Minnesota Wild. They are 15-9-6 in games in Vancouver to this point in the season.

Vancouver took the lone game between the two in November which was played in Ottawa.

I'll have plenty of updates to follow including, but not limited to, lineup changes, players' thoughts on tonight's game, Sens TV updates, Instagram goodness and more.

Stay tuned!
