Sens TV with Bobby Ryan
Sens TV had the opportunity to sit down with a handful of Senators players before they went their separate ways at the conclusion of the 2013-14 season to reflect on the year that was, look ahead to the future and get a sense of what's ahead for the guys.
Next up in this series is Bobby Ryan. Ryan joined the Senators on July 5, 2013 after a trade with the Anaheim Ducks — the team he had spent his entire career with to that point. He developed chemistry with Kyle Turris and Clarke MacArthur to become a formidable trio and finished his season with 23 goals and 48 points in 70 games after being shut down early to repair a hernia he sustained in November. He recorded 25 points in his first 26 games.
Ryan was also a strong possession player this past season with 51 per cent of shot attempts coming for the Senators while he was on the ice. That margin came despite drawing some of the toughest matchups on the team with the Ryan-Turris-MacArthur line consistently facing opposing top lines in strength-on-strength battles.
To recap his first season with the Sens, here's Bobby Ryan one-on-one with Sens TV.
