Captained Russia to a silver medal at the 2008 Under-18 World Championships. He led the team with nine points (3-6--9), including two shorthanded goals, and was named to the tournament All-Star team. He also had led Russia in scoring with nine points (4-5--9) in seven games at the 2007 Under-18 IIHF World Championships.
