OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today their 2013-14 pre-season schedule, which includes three home games at Canadian Tire Centre, three road contests and two neutral-site meetings. The schedule also features split-squad contests for the first time.
The Senators will begin the 2013-14 pre-season with away games on consecutive nights, starting at Winnipeg on Sunday, Sept. 15, and then in Saskatoon against Calgary, on Monday, Sept. 16. Ottawa fans will get their first chance to watch the team at home on Thursday, Sept. 19, when the Toronto Maple Leafs visit the nation’s capital. The Senators travel to Toronto on Tuesday, Sept. 24, before returning home to host the Montreal Canadiens the following evening. Ottawa visits the Canadiens at Bell Centre on Thursday, Sept. 26, before split-squad contests with the New York Islanders are played on Sunday, Sept. 29.
While the Senators host the Islanders at Canadian Tire Centre, New York will serve as the home team when the teams meet at the Barrie (Ont.) Molson Centre.
