OTTAWA – In conjunction with Ottawa’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, Canadian Tire Centre (@CdnTireCtr), announced today that the venue will host a regular-season game between the club and the Hamilton Bulldogs (the Montreal Canadiens’ AHL affiliate) on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m.
“We look forward to the return of B-Sens hockey to Canadian Tire Centre,” said Tim Murray, assistant general manager of the Ottawa Senators and Binghamton general manager. “It’s a great opportunity for us to showcase the depth and talent within our organization, while providing local fans with the chance to see some future Senators right here at home.”
Fans in Ottawa will get an opportunity to see the Senators’ top prospects in action in a game that could feature Ottawa-Gatineau natives Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Cody Ceci and Corey Cowick. B-Sens head coach Luke Richardson, who is also an Ottawa native, will make his Canadian Tire Centre debut as a head coach. Last season, his first behind an AHL bench, Richardson led Binghamton to a 44-24-8 record and a first-round playoff appearance. Former Senator, and Embrun, Ont., native, Martin St. Pierre is among Hamilton leaders in scoring through the first quarter of the AHL season and could also see action on Feb. 8 in Ottawa.
