Until the Senators rookies step on the ice for their first practice at the Bell Sensplex on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 9 a.m., we’ll take a look at some of the players you may not know about.

We continue looking at the 11 players on the roster who were invited on a amateur or professional try-out agreement, or signed as a free agent.

Baker and Bauer

CURTIS BILLSTEN, Right wing - Size: 6’3, 213 lbs.
Born: Sept. 10, 1986, Calgary - Acquired: Amateur try-out
2007-08: Committed to University of British Columbia Thunderbirds men’s hockey program. 2006-07: Recorded career highs in goals (24), assists (40), points (64) and penalty minutes (96) …  Tied for fourth on team in goals (24) and points (64) … Named assistant captain  … WHL player of the week from Feb. 5-11. 2005-06: Traded from Lethbridge to Kootenay ... Tied for team lead with three playoff goals.
