Senators rookie tournament - Day 2
Rookies face off today in Kitchener, Ont.

Kitchener, Ont. – The NHL is back in action today in Kitchener, Ont. – rookie-style.

The Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers rookie squads open the four-team tournament at 2 p.m. this afternoon at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. The Pittsburgh Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs then take to the ice at 6:30 p.m. Results will be posted later today.

Senators coach Cory Clouston has named his lineup for today’s game. Forward lines are: Nick Foligno (LW), Ilja Zubov (C) and Steven DaSilva (RW); Kaspars Daugavins, Alexander Nikulin and Tyler Donati; Shawn Weller, Cody Bass and Jim McKenzie; and, Clayton Bauer, Garrett Festerling and Chaz Johnson. Defencemen pairings are: Tomas Kudelka and Brian Lee; Derek Smith and Andrew Marshall; and, Pierre-Luc Lessard and Geoff Waugh. The starting goaltender is Brian Elliott, with Ryan Daniels as back-up.

Friday, Sept. 7:
Florida vs. Ottawa at 2 p.m.; Pittsburgh vs. Toronto at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 8:
Florida vs. Pittsburgh at 2 p.m.; Toronto vs. Ottawa at 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 9:
Ottawa vs. Pittsburgh at 2 p.m.; Toronto vs. Florida at 6:30 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 10:
Consolation game at 2 p.m.; Championship game at 6:30 p.m.
