Senators shutout Penguins, move on to the rookie final

Kitchener, Ont. - A 3-0 win over the Penguins' rookie squad gave the Senators a berth in the tournament final on Monday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Maple Leafs doubled-up on the Panthers 6-3 tonight in the final round-robing game.
Three players had two-point games this afternoon, as Ottawa scored a goal in each period en route to improving their round-robin record to two wins and a loss.
Alexandre Nikulin had his second goal of the tournament to open the scoring in the first period. Derek Smith gave Ottawa a two-goal lead after 40 minutes, and Tyler Donati capped the scoring with one in the third period. Nikulin and Donati each added assists for their second points of the game, while Kaspars Daugavins had two assists.
Playing in his first game for the Senators, Ryan Daniels stopped all 36 shots to earn the shutout.
