Entry draft tickets available Friday
Don't miss chance to see NHL's future stars June 20-21 at Scotiabank Place
The 2008 NHL Entry Draft is coming to Scotiabank Place for the first time on June 20-21. Access passes for the event, which are free to the public, are available beginning Friday at the following locations: Scotiabank Place box office, all Ottawa-Gatineau Sports Experts locations, all six Local Heroes locations in the Ottawa area, and The Sens Store at both the Rideau Centre and Place d’Orleans. There is a limit of four passes per person.
Pass holders have access to general admission seating in the arena’s 200 and 300 levels, as well as the Senators Fan Fest in front of Gate 1 and the 2008 NHL Draft Trading Card and Memorabilia Show presented by Upper Deck.
Parking is free for all attending the event.
Round 1 of the entry draft is set for 7 p.m. on June 20, with Rounds 2-7 going on June 21, starting at 10 a.m.
The Tampa Bay Lightning will have the first selection in the 2008 entry draft, with forward Steven Stamkos of the Ontario Hockey League’s Sarnia Sting the consensus top-rated prospect. The Senators currently own the 18th pick in the first round.
Other draft-related events include the Top Prospects Clinic and NHL Coaches’ Association coaching seminar, both on June 19, and the NHL Scotiabank Dinner Behind The Bench on June 18.
