Bulletin: Bochenski returns to Senators

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators recalled right-winger Brandon Bochenski from the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis. Bochenski will replace the injured Martin Havlat (dislocated right shoulder) when the Senators face the Boston Bruins in Boston on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m.

This is the first recall for Bochenski since he opened the season on the Senators roster. The 23-year-old recorded one goal and four assists in the Ottawa's first 10 games before being re-assigned to Binghamton on Oct. 31. He also had 22 shots and a +4 in the plus-minus rating.

The Blaine, Minn., native skated today in Binghamton's afternoon game in Norfolk, Va., collecting one goal, one assist and eight shots in its 5-4 loss to the Admirals. In 14 games with the B-Sens this season, Bochenksi has five goals and 12 assists; is -3 and has 22 penalty minutes.

Havlat left the game in the third period during Ottawa's 4-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens at the Corel Centre on Nov. 29. He underwent tests Wednesday afternoon and will see a shoulder specialist Thursday to determine the next course of action.

The B-Sens are sixth in the East Division with six wins, 12 losses, two overtime losses and one shootout loss for 15 points. In their next game, the club faces the Philadelphia Phantoms at the Wachovia Center at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2.
