Bulletin: Senators hockey now on 93.9 BOB FM
OTTAWA - Beginning with the return of Wayne Gretzky and the Phoenix Coyotes on January 10, Ottawa Senators hockey fans are now able to listen to all the play-by-play action of the NHL's No. 1 team on 93.9 BOB FM. The broadcasts will cover all Sens games throughout the regular season -- both home and away, and continue right into the Stanley Cup playoffs.
93.9 BOB FM is one of four CHUM Radio stations in Ottawa. CHUM's TEAM 1200 has been the exclusive English radio station of the Ottawa Senators since 1998. CHUM's two other Ottawa radio stations include Majic 100 and 580 CFRA.
"With the 100,000 watt signal, we're excited about having the opportunity to extend our play-by-play coverage area throughout eastern Ontario and western Quebec," said Chris Gordon, VP and general manager of CHUM Radio, Ottawa. "The passion for the Sens has already begun to reach a "playoff" fever as evident with 16 sellouts this year. Providing another opportunity for more Sens fans to catch all the action is great news for everyone."
This year BOB-FM has been heavily involved as a promotional partner with the Ottawa Senators. Every Thursday home game, BOB-FM originates its evening programming live from the Silver Seven Brewhouse within the Scotiabank Place.
Currently the TEAM 1200 Senators radio network includes broadcast partners in Cornwall, Pembroke, London, and Kingston/Watertown.
