Daniel Alfredsson, No. 11, and Jason Spezza, No. 19, combined for the game-winning goal with seven seconds to go in last night 's 4-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Coach Bryan Murray re-inserted captain Daniel Alfredsson on a line with Dany Heatley and Jason Spezza late in last night's game and it proved successful; the Senators rebounded from a 3-1 second-period deficit to defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3.

The game was capped off with Alfredsson scoring off a nice feed from Spezza with just seven seconds remaining. Coupled with his assist earlier on, Alfredsson has now established a career high of 82 points. He also tied Radek Bonk for games played by a Senator with 689.

"This year especially there's lots of guys who are getting personal highs," Alfredsson said after practice today. "You don't even think about it because you're so caught up in everything else."

Heatley and Spezza each recorded three-point performances for the second consecutive game. With his three assists bringing his season total to 52, Spezza surpassed Alfredsson's team record of 51.

"No, I wasn't," Spezza answered when asked if he was aware he set the record. "I guess that means I'm having a good season. I just want that total to get higher and higher."

Alfredsson isn't about to hold a grudge despite having his name taken off the team record books.

"He's helped me set my (personal) record in goals this year. He's a tremendous passer, no question."
