Bulletin: Senators return Brad Norton to Binghamton (AHL)
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators reassigned defenceman Brad Norton to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
In Norton's first emergency call-up on March 30 to replace Wade Redden, the 31-year-old played seven games, registered +1 in plus-minus ratings, recorded 31 penalty minutes and logged an average of 10:10 minutes ice time.
The Cambridge, Mass., native has played 118 NHL career games, recording 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) and 267 penalty minutes with Ottawa, the Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings and Washington Capitals.
In 32 games this season with Binghamton, Norton has four assists and 100 penalty minutes.
Binghamton is fifth in the East Division with 35 wins, 33 losses, four overtime losses and four shootout losses for 78 points. The Senators return to action on Wednesday, April 12, when they travel to Norfolk to face the Admirals.
