Bulletin: Farm Boy Makes Senators Roster as Official Fresh Food Grocer
OTTAWA – Only six days into NHL training camps and the Ottawa Senators announced the signing of their newest “sponsorship” player. Locally owned and operated Farm Boy has been chosen as the first ever Official Fresh Food Grocer of the Ottawa Senators.

“We are very pleased with this new relationship formed with Farm Boy as our first-ever official fresh food grocer,” said Roy Mlakar, CEO and president of the Senators. “It’s especially rewarding to know that the Farm Boy family shares the same community-minded vision as we do.”

Farm Boy celebrated the recent opening of its Kanata Signature Centre location with a $70,000 donation to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario for the construction of the Farm Boy Fun Park, an outdoor playground and exercise area for young CHEO patients.

“Along with a shared vision of community involvement, we see other similarities between the organizations that make this partnership a great fit,” said Donny Milito, president of Farm Boy Inc. “Both organizations are filled with passionate, dedicated individuals who are all focused on achieving a common goal.

“Our goal is to provide the best shopping experience for our customers each and every day,” added Milito. “This partnership will allow us to develop fun and exciting in-store promotions that will further enhance our ability to reach this goal.”

Farm Boy’s sponsorship will feature a number of consumer promotions, beginning with the opportunity for Farm Boy customers to win a family skate with the Ottawa Senators in January.

Farm Boy will also sponsor two Food Bank Nights, in November and March, during Ottawa Senators home games. Farm Boy’s in-arena visibility will be seen on the new 200-level LED signage, the LED rinkboard and the rotating board behind both players’ benches.
