Bulletin: Senators Assign forward Nick Foligno To AHL's Binghamton
In his first 14 career NHL games with the Senators this season, Foligno had two goals, six penalty minutes and a +1 rating. The 19-year-old played his first NHL game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 3, and scored his first goal against Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 18.
Last season, Foligno finished second in team scoring with the Ontario Hockey League’s Sudbury Wolves. He set career highs with 31 goals and 57 assists for 88 points as the Wolves captured the 2007 Eastern Conference championship.
Foligno was Ottawa’s first-round pick, 28th overall, in the 2006 NHL entry draft.
Binghamton is in third place in the AHL’s East Division with 13 points from six wins, six losses and one overtime loss. The club’s next game is Friday, Nov. 16, when the Senators visit the Phantoms in Philadelphia.
