Bulletin: Senators Recall Cody Bass from Binghamton
OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators today recalled centre Cody Bass from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Bass was first recalled this season from Binghamton on Dec. 15 and made his NHL debut in a 7-3 home win over Atlanta that evening. In six games with the Senators, Bass recorded one assist and five penalty minutes. He tallied an assist on Dec. 27 in the Senators’ 5-2 home win over the New York Islanders for his first NHL point. The 20-year-old was re-assigned to Binghamton on Friday, Dec. 28 to return home to Owen Sound, Ont. for personal reasons.

At the time of his recall on Dec. 15, Bass had three goals, five assists, 44 penalty minutes and a +7 rating while appearing in 24 games with the B-Sens this season.

Binghamton is in fifth place in the AHL’s East Division with 35 points from 15 wins, 14 losses, three overtime losses and two shootout losses. The club’s next game is this evening when they host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Bass was Ottawa’s first fourth-round pick, 95th overall, in the 2003 NHL entry draft.
