Bulletin: Sens Foundation Telethon For Roger's House
OTTAWA – The Sens Foundation announced today details for its Roger’s House Telethon presented by the OutCare Foundation. The telethon will be held in support of Roger’s House on Monday, Feb. 25, in conjunction with the Rogers Sportsnet’s broadcast of the Senators game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Roger’s House, the charity of choice of the Sens Foundation, provides a comprehensive pediatric respite and palliative care program with elements of outreach, residential hospice, pain and symptom management; grief and bereavement counseling. and research. Since opening its doors in May 2006, Roger’s House has had more than 250 admissions.
A record $715,370 was raised during the 2007 telethon. The total represents donations received during the telethon by phone, online and in-game, as well as cheques presented by organizations over the last calendar year.
START TIME - The telethon will air at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25, one hour before the Senators-Maple Leafs game. There will be updates during the game and intermissions.
BROADCAST - The Senators-Maple Leafs game, as well as the telethon, will be broadcast on the Rogers Sportsnet network throughout eastern Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. The broadcast will also feature stories of families who have received palliative care at Roger’s House.
HOSTS - Rob Faulds of Rogers Sportsnet and Leanne Cusack of CTV Ottawa will host the event.

GUESTS - Special telethon guests will include: Roy Mlakar, president and chief executive officer of the Ottawa Senators and Scotiabank Place; wives and girlfriends of Senators players; Senators alumni; representatives from Roger’s House and lots of special guests.
