Bulletin: Senators Announce Access-Pass Policy For NHL Entry Draft
Access passes for the 2008 NHL Draft are free to the public and will available to fans beginning on Friday, May 23. Access passes are for general admission seating located in the 200 and 300 levels of Scotiabank Place and can be picked up at the Scotiabank Place box office, all Ottawa-Gatineau Area Sports Experts locations, any one of the six Local Heroes Sports Bars located throughout Ottawa and the two Sens Stores (Rideau Centre and Place D’Orleans). Limit four passes per person.
Scotiabank Place will open its doors for seating to the general public at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 20, for the first round of the NHL Draft and at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, for rounds two through seven. Parking is free for all those attending.
The Entry Draft will also feature a number of special events for fans attending the draft. The festivities run from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday and resume at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Food and drink will be available, while fans can test the speed of their shot in one of two hardest-shot cages, shoot the lights out on an interactive net, test their reflexes as a goalie, or simply soak up the atmosphere of Scotiabank Place in the summer with live music and fun for fans of all ages.
Presented by Upper Deck, the 2008 NHL Draft Trading Card and Memorabilia Show will also take place from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. The show will feature vendors from eastern Canada and the United States, displaying and selling hockey memorabilia. In addition, fans can get their picture taken with hockey’s Holy Grail, the Stanley Cup, and other silverware at a Hockey Hall of Fame NHL trophy display on the Scotiabank Place concourse.
Fans attending the 2008 NHL Draft Trading Card and Memorabilia Show presented by Upper Deck who purchase and open five packs of any 2007-08 Upper Deck, Fleer or O-Pee-Chee NHL trading card product (except Victory) will receive a 2008 NHL Draft-exclusive six-card set (while supplies last).
