Bulletin: Senators Announce Roster for Rookie Tournament
The Senators rookies, led by Binghamton Senators head coach Cory Clouston and assistant Mike Busniuk, include three goaltenders, seven defencemen and 13 forwards.
The roster features 13 players with American Hockey League experience and the following four with National Hockey League experience: goaltender Brian Elliott and forwards Alexander Nikulin, Jesse Winchester and Ilya Zubov. Also participating will be 2007 first-round draft pick Jim O’Brien.
Other notes on the Senators rookies: 10 players were drafted by the Senators, 14 took part in the June 2008 development camp and 10 players participated in the Senators’ 2007 rookie camp and tournament.
The squad will practise at the Bell Sensplex on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m., at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, at Scotiabank Place and at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, at Scotiabank Place. The team will then travel to Kitchener, Ont., for the three-day tournament.

Monday, Sept. 15: Ottawa vs. Pittsburgh at 2 p.m.; Toronto vs. Florida at 7 p.m.
