Bulletin: Senators Announce Changes to Scouting Staff
Pierre Dorion has been named the Senators chief amateur scout. Dorion will be responsible for directing the scouts who cover the amateur ranks in the United States, Canada and Europe. He joined the Senators' organization in July 2007 after spending the previous two seasons as an amateur scout for the New York Rangers and 11 seasons with the Montreal Canadiens.
The Senators also hired two new scouts: Jim Clark, who spent the last nine seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets, will join the staff as a professional scout and Greg Royce joins Ottawa as an amateur scout. Royce spent the last three seasons with the Phoenix Coyotes after spending eight seasons with the Nashville Predators.
Other changes in the Senators scouting department see Lewis Mongelluzzo re-signing with the club and being named National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) recruiting co-ordinator, while amateur scouts George Fargher and Bob Lowes have moved from part-time to full-time scouts positions.
