OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today that fewer than 3,000 tickets remain for Saturday’s 7 p.m. home game against the Buffalo Sabres at Scotiabank Place.

Saturday’s game marks the first of six meetings between the Northeast Division foes this season. Ottawa won last year’s season series, earning five of a possible six victories, including a sweep of the three contests in the nation’s capital. The Sabres currently lead the Senators by two points for the division lead and will host Boston this evening.

The game against the Sabres will also serve as the Senators’ annual Food Drive night. Non-perishable food items, with a priority on canned fish, meat, fruits and vegetables, will be collected at the entrances of Scotiabank Place to support the Ottawa Food Bank and the Kanata Food Cupboard. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

Also on Saturday, fans can enter Scotiabank Place through Gate 1 for the Sens Gameday Experience, presented by Esso, with doors opening at 10 a.m. for the pre-game skate, which begins at 10:30 a.m. In addition to watching the Senators prepare for their evening game, T-shirt giveaways will also take place, with the first 500 children in attendance receiving a Seantors poster. Parking and admission is free while fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items.

Monday, Nov. 23, vs. Washington: Fewer than 3,500 tickets remain. NHL goal leader Alexander Ovechkin and the Capitals make their first of two regular-season visits to Ottawa. Ovechkin trails Anze Kopitar of the Los Angeles Kings by only eight points for the league lead despite having played eight fewer games.
