OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators and Rogers Sportsnet announced today the 52-game broadcast schedule for the Scotiabank Senators Hockey on Rogers Sportsnet and Sportsnet Sens, a companion channel to Rogers Sportsnet ONE, beginning on Friday, Oct. 8, when the Northeast Division-rival Buffalo Sabres visit Scotiabank Place.

In addition to Rogers Sportsnet East’s 40-game Senators broadcast schedule, 12 games will air on Sportsnet Sens — the companion channel to Sportsnet ONE — which is available to fans throughout the club’s regional broadcast territory.

“With the upcoming launch of Sportsnet Sens and our partnership with Rogers Sportsnet, we’ll now have all our games available on live television for the first time in club history,” said Cyril Leeder, Ottawa Senators president. “Now entering our 12th season of Scotiabank Senators Hockey on Rogers Sportsnet, the year ahead will reflect our desire of providing as many Senator games as possible to fans throughout the region and our broadcast territory. Most importantly, this relationship continues to result in a win for Senators fans.”

Sportsnet and Sportsnet Sens will broadcast seven of the 18 match-ups against the Senators’ five Canadian opponents, in addition to eight meetings against divisional rivals.

Other highlights of the Scotiabank Senators Hockey on Rogers Sportsnet and Rogers Sportsnet ONE schedules feature 22 games originating from Scotiabank Place, 13 games on Tuesdays, 12 on Fridays, 11 on Thursdays, seven on Mondays, six on Sundays and three on Wednesdays. The Senators’ three afternoon games (Nov. 26 at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m.; Jan. 16 at Washington, 3 p.m. and March 27 at Atlanta, 2 p.m.) are included while Rogers Sportsnet will also broadcast the only meeting of the season between Ottawa and the defending Stanley Cup-champion Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, Jan. 7, at 8:30 p.m.

The 52 games on Rogers Sportsnet East bring the Senators broadcast schedule to a full complement of 82 games. The national schedules from CBC, TSN, RDS and RIS were announced earlier.
