OTTAWA -The Ottawa Senators today recalled defenceman David Hale from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
Hale, 29, has recorded one assist and seven penalty minutes in five games with Binghamton this season after appearing in five pre-season games with Ottawa, recording two assists and 11 penalty minutes.
Signed by Ottawa on Aug. 4, Hale, a native of Colorado Springs, Colo., skated in 39 games for the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2009-10, recording four assists and 25 penalty minutes. He also appeared in four contests for the Lightning’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, scoring once and adding an assist.
