Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators’ year-long commitment to community outreach programs throughout the National Capital Region continues. The following is a look at the club’s community schedule from Friday, Dec. 3, to Thursday, Dec. 9.

Sens Gameday Experience presented by Esso
Date: Saturday, Dec. 4
Location: Scotiabank Place
Time: 10 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.

Minor hockey teams and members of the public from across the Ottawa-Gatineau region can visit Scotiabank Place to watch the Senators pre-game skate in advance of their home game against Buffalo that evening. The Senators coaching staff will also be on the ice to lead the players through their paces prior to their Northeast division matchup against the Sabres.

General admission and parking is free of charge with non-perishable food donations being accepted on site by the Ottawa Food Bank. Volunteers will also be on hand to collect gently used hockey equipment. The Senators along with Canadian Tire, Canadian Tire Jumpstart, the Sens Foundation and the Ottawa District Hockey Association, have recently joined forces to make hockey more accessible to disadvantaged youth across the region through the Equipment for Kids program. Equipment donated on Saturday will be directed to this program. The first 500 kids in attendance will also receive a free Ottawa Senators poster courtesy of Esso.

The second of two Sens Gameday Experiences will be held on March 15, 2011.

Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI) – Dollars and Sense

Senators Sports & Entertainment chief financial officer Erin Crowe will serve as a presenter during the Dollars and Sense event held by OCRI on Wednesday, Dec. 8, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Crowe will compare the challenges of a small-market NHL franchise to those of a technology company throughout the presentation while providing the Senators perspective on what these similarities are and how they are addressed by the organization.
