Spartacat will visit Anne-Marie Gervais’ Grade 4 class at Hopewell Public School in Ottawa on Monday to deliver ball hockey equipment and play a game with the class, which was selected through the Sens@School Train Like the Sens program.

The Sens@School Train Like the Sens program is a healthy living initiative presented free of charge by the Senators and Sens Foundation. Designed with the assistance of local educators, the program encourages students to strive for a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity per day, every day.

Ms. Gervais’ class completed more than 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity during the school day and an additional 30 minutes of extra time outside the classroom. The class was drawn as the June grand prize winner and will receive a set of practice jerseys and ball hockey equipment for their school and the chance to participate in Monday’s ball hockey game with Sparty.

Media representatives are asked to sign in at the school office upon arrival.
