OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today a new ticket package for seven home games during February. Fans who purchase this special ticket package before Wednesday, Jan. 25, will receive a voucher redeemable at any Sens Store location for a free official all-star National Hockey League Players’ Association short-sleeve T-shirt. The voucher will allow fans to choose a T-shirt from one of four Senators players who were voted to the 2012 NHL all-star team: Daniel Alfredsson, Erik Karlsson, Milan Michalek and Jason Spezza (while supplies last).

The ticket packages start at $35 (includes tax, excludes CRF and convenience charges) and are available online only. Fans can purchase these packages by visiting www.capitaltickets.ca/promo and entering the promotional code SPEZZA.

The package is available for the following games: Friday, Feb. 3, versus the New York Islanders; Tuesday, Feb. 7, versus the St. Louis Blues; Thursday, Feb. 9, versus the Nashville Predators; Saturday, Feb. 11, versus the Edmonton Oilers (Hockey Day in Canada – 2 p.m. start); Wednesday, Feb. 22, versus the Washington Capitals; Saturday, Feb. 25, versus the Boston Bruins and Sunday, Feb. 26, versus the Islanders.

There are fewer than 600 tickets remaining for Ottawa’s next home game on Monday, Jan. 16, against the Winnipeg Jets. That match will give fans a first look at the now fully assembled Bell HD Screen.

Through 23 home dates at Scotiabank Place this season, the Senators have sold out 14 home dates (including six consecutive games), only two shy of their 16 sellouts in 2010-11. Ottawa’s average attendance through 23 home games is 19,189, up 5.5 per cent from the same point last season.

The team’s play this season has not only led to increased attendance, but also increased viewership on Sportsnet East. Through games up to Jan. 8, the average minute audience of Sportsnet games is 190,000, a 21 per cent increase from last season’s totals. In the key A25-54 demographic, the average minute audience is currently 90,000, up 25 per cent from last season’s total average.
