OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today that they have extended their early-bird deadline for fans to renew their season seats to noon eastern time (ET) on Friday, March 9. Due to an ongoing technical problem with the online renewal system, some fans have not been able to access the system to renew online prior to the original early-bird deadline of March 1.

“With the online renewal system being down and with typically more than 70 per cent of our renewals done using the online system, we felt it incumbent to extend the early-bird prizing date to March 9,” said Senators president Cyril Leeder.

In addition to the original early-bird prizing of 10 trips for two on the Operation Montreal – Heritage Train trip to Montreal (including transportation on VIA Rail, game tickets and accommodations), all season-seat owners who renew their seats by Friday, March 9, will also have the chance to win additional prizes, including: two 200-level suites (12 tickets) and two 400-level suites (12 tickets) for March 24 versus the Pittsburgh Penguins and one 200-level suite (12 tickets) and two 400-level suites (12 tickets) for April 3 versus the Carolina Hurricanes.

If any season-seat owners are experiencing problems, they are asked to call their sales representative at 613-599-0300. Additionally, they can fax their renewal to the Senators offices at 613-599-0238. Fans can drop off hard copies of their renewal forms at upcoming Senators home games at one of three sales booths, which are located concourse behind section 116, behind section 201 and behind section 315.
