OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators’ year-long commitment to community outreach programs throughout the National Capital Region continues. The following is a look at the club’s community schedule from Friday, March 30, to Thursday, April 5.

Township of North Dundas hosts Mayor’s Business Breakfast

Ottawa Senators president Cyril Leeder will serve as North Dundas Township Mayor Eric Duncan’s special guest speaker at the inaugural Mayor’s Business Breakfast from 7 to 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 5. The event will be held at The Gathering House, located at 2 Water Street in Chesterville, Ont. Leeder is scheduled to address about 150 anticipated guests at 7:50 a.m. and will touch on a variety of topics, including the team’s community outreach programs and season-seat ownership while providing an overview of the organization.

The mayor’s vision for the annual breakfast meeting, which is co-sponsored by the North Dundas Chamber of Commerce, is to bring together and increase communication between the business community and township for the betterment of North Dundas residents and stakeholders.

Senators Alumni Road Game Parties

Throughout the 2011-12 regular season, the Senators will be holding Road Game Parties at Boston Pizza restaurants throughout the Ottawa area. A Senators alumni member will be on hand from the start of the game through the first intermission, mingling with fans and signing autographs at each event. This season’s final event will take place on Sunday.

Sunday, April 1, at N.Y. Islanders at 3 p.m.
Senators Alumni member Ted Bulley will be at Boston Pizza at 3884 Innes Rd. in Orleans.

Spartacat, the Senators’ ambassador of fun, will attend a Sens @ School assembly at 11:20 a.m. on Friday, March 30, at St. Philip Elementary School (79 Maitland Street, Goulbourn, Ont.). The bilingual program, with a focus on health and physical education, language arts and math, serves as a cross-curricular resource for Grade 4 to 6 teachers in eastern Ontario and western Quebec.
