Bulletin: Senators to open Scotiabank Place for fans to watch Game 7 on the Bell HD Screen
Team to host ‘Sens in 7 Red Rally’ in association with CBC Sports
OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators announced today that Scotiabank Place will open its doors to fans on Thursday, April 26, for an opportunity to watch CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada high-definition broadcast of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference quarter-final, when the Senators take on the New York Rangers at 7 p.m. Doors to Scotiabank Place will open at 6 p.m.
The Bell HD screen — with 2,170 square feet of viewing space — will be lowered to enhance sightlines for fans and to better the game experience. Bert’s, the official Sens Army headquarters, will open at 5 p.m. The TEAM 1200 will broadcast the Senators’ pre-game show live from inside the Gate 1 entrance to Scotiabank Place.
On the Red Zone party plaza, fans will be able “join the Senators bench” for a photo, courtesy of MBNA, while Spartacat, the Senators’ ambassador of fun, will be on hand to greet fans and give away Senators prizes. Fans entering Scotiabank Place will get cheer cards courtesy of the Ottawa Citizen and thundersticks courtesy of Scotiabank. The Sens Store will have a one-day sale for fans in attendance, with all regular-priced merchandise being sold at 30 per cent off. There will also be prize giveaways for fans during breaks in the CBC broadcast of the game.
Parking and admission to Scotiabank Place on Thursday, April 26, is free, but fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item as a donation to the Ottawa Food Bank.
