Senators\' big Game 7 bound for the Bell HD Screen

Big game, big screen.

It's the next best thing to being there for Senators fans who want to soak up all the drama of Game 7 against the New York Rangers.

The Eastern Conference quarter-final between eighth-seeded Ottawa and the No. 1 seeded Blueshirts will be decided at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night (7 p.m., CBC, Team 1200). And the Senators have decided to open the doors of Scotiabank Place to give fans an opportunity to watch the Hockey Night in Canada telecast on the Bell HD Screen.

The arena's new videoboard, which features 2,170 square feet of high-definition viewing space, will be lowered to give those in attendance the best possible sightline. Admission and parking are free for the event, which is being billed as the 'Sens in 7 Red Rally, with doors opening at 6 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item as a donation to the Ottawa Food Bank.

Want an even more intimate viewing experience? Then head on into Bert's, the official Sens Army headquarters, which will open at 5 p.m. to quench the thirst of fans hungry to take in the first playoff Game 7 involving the Senators in eight years.

In addition, the Red Zone party plaza in front of the main entrance to Scotiabank Place will be alive with interactive activities starting two hours before the game. Fans entering the building through the Red Zone can pick up cheer cards courtesy of the Ottawa Citizen and thundersticks courtesy of Scotiabank.
