Bulletin: Senators announce seven-game 2012-13 pre-season schedule
PrintOTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today their 2012-13 pre-season schedule, which includes three home games at Scotiabank Place, three road contests and one neutral-site meeting. The schedule also features split-squad contests for the first time.
The Senators will begin the 2012-13 pre-season with road games on consecutive nights, starting at Montreal on Sunday, Sept. 23, and then at Toronto, on Monday, Sept. 24. Ottawa fans will get their first chance to watch the team at home on Tuesday, Sept. 25, when the Maple Leafs visit Scotiabank Place. The Senators remain at home to host the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, Sept. 27, before split-squad contests with the New York Islanders are played on Sunday, Sept. 30.
While the Senators host the Islanders at Scotiabank Place, New York will serve as the home team when the teams meet at the Barrie (Ont.) Molson Centre. The pre-season schedule concludes when the Senators visit the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, Oct. 6.
