News Release: Senators recall forward Stephane Da Costa from Binghamton (AHL)
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today recalled forward Stephane Da Costa from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
In 31 games with the B-Sens this season, Da Costa has recorded nine goals, 15 assists and 10 penalty minutes. This is Da Costa’s first recall to Ottawa this season.
Da Costa, 23, was originally signed by the Senators as an undrafted college free agent on March 31, 2011, after two NCAA seasons with Hockey East’s Merrimack College. In 26 career National Hockey League games, he has scored three goals, two assists and added eight penalty minutes.
Da Costa is the only French-born player ever to be signed by the Senators. He has represented his native France at each of the last four IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships.
