OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today recalled forwards David Dziurzynski and Derek Grant, in addition to defenceman Eric Gryba, from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Dziurzynski, 23, was originally signed to an entry-level contract by the Senators on April 6, 2010. The native of Lloydminster, Alta., has spent each of the two-plus seasons of his professional career with the B-Sens, recording 65 points (20 goals, 45 assists) and 249 penalty minutes over 191 career AHL contests. This season, he has tallied 17 points (three goals, 14 assists) and 100 penalty minutes in 44 games.

Grant, 22, was the Senators’ second fourth-round pick (119th overall) in the 2008 National Hockey League Entry Draft. The native of Abbotsford, B.C., was signed to an entry-level contract on March 10, 2011, and has appeared in 121 career AHL contests (all with Binghamton), registering 50 points (24 goals, 26 assists), and 55 penalty minutes over that span. He is one of two B-Sens to have appeared in each of the team’s 47 games to date this season and leads the club with 15 goals.

A native of Saskatoon, Gryba, 24, was the Senators’ third-round pick (68th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and signed a two-year, two-way contract with Ottawa on July 18, 2012. In 183 professional career contests (all with the B-Sens), he has recorded 39 points (14 goals, 25 assists) and 305 penalty minutes. He participated in his first AHL All-Star Classic last month in Providence, R.I.

Each player has participated in multiple annual summer development camps with the Senators and also helped Binghamton capture its first Calder Cup in 2011.

The Senators return to action when they visit the Maple Leafs at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Saturday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on CBC as part of Hockey Night in Canada in addition to TEAM 1200 and 94,5 CJFO-FM.
