News Release: Senators re-launch ‘Tickets for Troops’ program for the 9th Annual Canadian Forces Appreciation Night
OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators and Sens Foundation announced today the re-launch of the Tickets for Troops program to support the ninth annual Canadian Forces Appreciation Night on Monday, April 22, when the club plays host to the Pittsburgh Penguins at Scotiabank Place.
The Tickets for Troops program is designed to encourage season-seat owners, suite holders and fans to donate their game tickets to deserving Canadian Forces members and their families. The goal of Tickets for Troops is to provide additional Canadian Forces members the opportunity to be part of the game night tribute on April 22. Last year, Sens fans and sponsors provided 3,300 tickets for our troops and their families.
The Senators are pleased to be partnered with the following sponsors: Algonquin College, Thales Canada, Scotiabank, Air Canada, Boeing Canada, Cisco, Logistik Unicorp, Oracle, Curtiss Wright, DRS, Hill & Knowlton, General Dynamics, Nasittuq, DEW, SAAB and Calian.
“Canadian Forces Appreciation Night gives the Senators organization and our fans a chance to show our collective appreciation for the real heroes in this country, those men and women who serve in our Armed Forces,” said Senators president Cyril Leeder. “Last year we had a terrific response from fans who wanted to show their support for the event through the Tickets for Troops program and we are once again making this available to our season-seat owners.”
