Senators recall goaltender Nathan Lawson from Binghamton (AHL)

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) today recalled goaltender Nathan Lawson on an emergency basis from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Lawson, 30, is currently tied for third among American Hockey League goaltenders with five wins this season. The 6-2, 198-pound netminder has a record of 5-1-0, in addition to a 2.22 goals-against-average and a .931 save percentage through seven appearances in 2013-14 with the B-Sens. He earned a record of 1-4-2 in 10 games with the New York Islanders in his only previous NHL season of 2010-11.

A Calgary native, Lawson will join the club ahead of its visit to Columbus’ Nationwide Arena where the Senators will oppose the Blue Jackets on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
