OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) commitment to drive and deliver business in the region has continued through June and July. While the hockey club continues to train and prepare for the pre-season, the off-ice team continues to work towards a successful 2014-15 season with a number of key initiatives.
Sens introduce new mobile app to fans for testing and feedback
The Senators have introduced a new mobile app for smart phones that hit the stores for iPhone, iPad and Android devices last week and is also available at http://www.ottawasenators.com/sensapp. The new and improved app was released early to give Sens fans the opportunity to test features and provide feedback in advance of the 2014-15 season. Fans are welcome to provide feedback, suggestions and report any technical issues to the Senators technical team at email@example.com. During this testing phase, the app will be available in English only, with the French version to be rolled out to fans before the season.

The Senators have recently welcomed a number of new and returning sponsors, including Ashbury College, Jubilee Fine Jewellers, JB Robillard, Carstar and Decisive Technologies.

Senators to host Sens Summer Tour in late August
The Senators will introduce something new to fans in late August, when the team launches its first Sens Summer Tour, a mobilized fan experience, to several of the outlying communities around Ottawa. Sens players, alumni and staff will be stopping in a number of communities to share the excitement of the upcoming season. More details, including dates and communities, will be announced at a future date.
Senators Fan Fest and bobbleheads!
The Senators will host Fan Fest during the team’s training camp this season. The event will feature access to players and to Canadian Tire Centre. Additionally, the Senators will be introducing the first of their 2014-15 bobblehead series at Fan Fest. Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, the event will be open to all fans. Details will be updated on the Senators website www.ottawasenators.com in advance of the event.
Canadian Tire Centre building upgrades continue
Building upgrades at Canadian Tire Centre continue during the summer of 2014. The new Ephesus lighting system, featuring LED lighting, begins installation in August. This new lighting system will be brighter, allowing for an enhanced fan experience that is more environmentally friendly.
Richcraft Sensplex to open on Aug. 5; Grand opening Celebration on Aug. 7
The Richcraft Sensplex is now only days away from opening. The four-pad facility will welcome patrons for the first time on Tuesday, Aug. 5 and will host an official Grand opening on Thursday, Aug. 7.
Sens House opens officially for fans
The Senators and Ottawa Venues officially opened Sens House for fans on Monday, July 28. The 5,000 square-foot, 250-seat restaurant located in the heart of Ottawa’s ByWard Market features a state-of-the-art retractable roof, the first of its kind at a bar in Canada.

Senators French radio broadcasts return to 94,5 Unique FM
The Senators, in conjunction with Bell Media’s TSN Radio 1200 in Ottawa and 94,5 Unique FM, recently announced a three-year agreement that allows the francophone community radio station to continue delivering French-language coverage of the club.
As part of this multi-year arrangement, Unique FM will broadcast live coverage of all Ottawa Senators games, as well as pre- and post-game shows in collaboration with Intersport Productions.
